About RIAC:

The Refugee and Immigrant Advisory Council (RIAC) helps newcomers find a place of safety and an opportunity for participation in Newfoundland and Labrador. Building on a long history, RIAC helps newcomers handle many challenges as they settle into meaningful and productive lives – challenges such as navigating an unfamiliar culture and society, gaining fluency in a new language, and finding adequate housing and job opportunities.

RIAC is unique in St. John’s. A grassroots organization that was born from the community it serves, RIAC is a charitable organization, non-governmental, not-for-profit, and driven by the needs of the community.
