We fulfill our mandate via four major programs, one of which is Awareness And Diversity:
We facilitate participation, rather than integration, of refugees and immigrants in our communities.
We aim to enrich our communities. We do so through a variety of outreach and awareness programs, events, and community activities. This includes events hosted through the Coalition for Richer Diversity (CORD) on a variety of topics, from employment to mental health and others. We also promote awareness and acceptance of diversity, through our diversity training courses offered through our social enterprises at Good Work Consulting Services. We also host refugee and immigrant artwork in “Our Art Gallery,” a showcase for artists who have arrived in Newfoundland to showcase their art to the community. This serves not only to build portfolios for the artists themselves but also promote diversity within our province’s already vibrant arts community.

All RIAC events are announced in the calendar and the newsletter.
